History of The Frame Shop
The building that houses The Frame Shop was built in the late 1800’s. It’s first occupant was a shoe store and then in the early 1900’s it became "Albert Huff Groceries" and remained a grocery store until around 1956 when it became a frame shop.
Nancy Russell came to work for Hugh and Adele Cheney in 1986, and after learning the craft from them, purchased the building and the business when they retired in 1988.
By 2001, business had grown considerably so an addition was added off the back of the building to accommodate additional employees and much needed work space.
Emily Russell joined her mother in the business in 2004 and bought it in 2015 after Nancy retired.
A Note From Emily
"To us Framing is an art…. a balance between matching a customer’s aesthetics and honoring the integrity of their artwork.
Framing is about quality… making sure every corner is joined perfectly, no fingerprints on the glass, or over cuts on the mats.
For us - Framing is about perfection."
