We are so excited to be hosting local artist Brenna O’Toole for a gallery reception called “Aglow” on Friday, May 1 from 5 - 8 pm. Brenna O’Toole is a painter, calligrapher, and musician in Ithaca, NY. She is inspired by the natural beauty of the world, and her soft pastel work focuses almost exclusively on landscapes and living things.

The changing moods of nature — and, in particular, the changing nature of light — provide a way to reflect on human emotions and explore how we project those emotions onto our environment. In “Aglow,” Brenna draws attention to fleeting moments of light: sunshine on goldenrod; the last gleam of light before sunset; fireflies at dusk. She invites you to share the experience of these ephemeral moments.
